The Design Process

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN
(CAD Drawing):

This is an overhead one-dimensional scaled perspective.

This design method is essential in laying out the overall design concept as well as determining the placement of landscape features and quantity of materials.

This is a requirement when requesting a design through Distinct Design.

DIGITAL PERSPECTIVE:

This tool brings the CAD plan to life.

This is a realistic image of your new landscape based on the scaled landscape plan (CAD).

This tool gives a great representation of what your landscape will look like after installation is complete.

A digital photo is limited to only capturing a portion of a landscape for this reason multiple images may be necessary if your goal is to visualize the landscape in its entirety.

Capturing a focal point of the property should give a good representation for the overall theme of the garden.

Landscape Design Pricing

Local, Fredericksburg Metro Clients:

First hour on-site consultation FREE
$65.00 per hour with a three hour minimum charge, including:
- Time spent on site taking measurements & photographs
- Any additional meeting with the client after the initial one-hour consultation
- In office time creating CAD Drawing and/or Digital Perspective
- Complete illustrated plant list and specific care instructions
- Any other, additional design services
CONTRACTOR ASSISTANCE: We will be glad to recommend a reputable firm to install your dream landscape.

Nationwide/Long Distance Clients:

Survey and telephone consultation FREE
IMPORTANT Requirments for all Nationwide/Long Distance Clients:
- Completed pre-consultation questionnaire and design styles (you will be given links to these after filling out the Contact Us form).
- Two copies of a plot of your property with your home on it (one plot with no additional markings, the other with your own notes on specific areas of interest, and marking where pictures have been taken, also giving necessary measurements, septic, sewage, utilities, drainage concerns etc.)
- Photographs of your property and any sites of particular interest, and descriptions of these areas, their problems and your hopes for a final outcome.
CAD DESIGN:
- $299.00 for up to 1/2 acre design. (includes Color CAD Design, Full color illustrated plant list)
- $75.00 for each additional 1/2 acre (any amount over 1/2 acre leading up to the next 1/2 acre)
DIGITAL PERSPECTIVE:
- $100.00 for Digital Perspective Photograph
- $50.00 for each additional Digital Perspective Photograph
CONTRACTOR ASSISTANCE: Glad to work with you and/or the contractor of your choosing to aid in the proper installation and maintenance of your dream landscape
- 2 hours of FREE consulting – $30.00 per hour there after
